“Looking backward”
You will quickly come to find that I share curriculum AFTER we’ve fully used it. I know a lot of bloggers out there share their curriculum hauls and gush about what they’re GOING TO be using in the near future…so there’s plenty of that fun floating around cyberland if you need it. I’ve been doing this home education thing long enough to know that sometimes what an educator REALLY wants is: someone from the trenches to dish up the nitty gritty about a curriculum AFTER they’ve put hours and hours into using it. That’s where I come in!
I want to offer you a deeper blog. One that is free from the tyranny of trying to sell you something around every turn. I purchase and pay for all of my curriculum with my own finances. I home educate from scratch, without any state funding. Purely supported by our own hands, through God’s provision. It’s important to me to review things from the perspective of having invested in them–of not owing the author even a hint of loyalty. That is the groundwork of the very best reviews. That’s why you won’t find a line up of things I “will use next semester” which is sometimes hidden lingo for an excuse to affiliate-link you to death. If you’re going to give me your time, I’m going to do my very best to honor your investment.
Personally, I have longed for this type of refreshing space! I hope you feel at home here. My purpose is to serve up honest reviews–from my hearth to yours.
